We participated in KidsFair at Southgate Mall with Child Development Center staff. It was wonderful to meet so many families who “get” the concept of inclusive play in Missoula and were eager to help! Thanks for including us, CDC!

We can run focus groups for kids, parents, teachers, therapists, and others. Help up gather data on community priorities for the All-Abilities Playground. This input will be critical input during the planning stage! If needed, we can present our visual survey which integrates photos of adaptive play equipment. This version of the survey is given on paper and uses the “smiley face scale” to enable kids and youth to weigh in on their favorite equipment in an intuitive way. If you would like to learn more, call Jenny at 838-6752. Thanks for helping us build our community vision!

We were thrilled to receive a generous $5,000 gift from the Mission Board of Saint Patrick Hospital last month. As soon as St. Pat’s heard about the Playground Project, they were quick to give their strong support to the cause of inclusive play for all children. What a wonderful and generous community we live in! Thanks to St. Pat’s for leading the way with this significant gift.
Do you know of a foundation, service organization, business or individual who may wish to learn more about The Playground Project? Contact us and we’ll be sure to follow up.

We have created a visual version of our survey which integrates photos of adaptive play equipment. This version of the survey can be given on paper and uses the “smiley face scale” to enable kids and youth to weigh in on their favorite equipment in an intuitive way. Summit Independent Living Center staffer Mary Olson will be presenting the visual survey to several groups of Missoula public school students with disabilities. If you would like to see the visual survey or present it to kids or youth, please click here for the online PDF. Thanks for helping us get the word out!
